First Order is a progressive rock project soaked in musical depth ranging from ethereal melodic sojourns to grinding metallic episodes.  The compositions draw from a dedication to musicianship and integrity that produce works rich in melody, complex structure, and rhythmic choices.  This produces a musical freedom of expression consistent with First Orders progressive vision.

First Order's material is composed by guitarist Scott Sanford.  The compositions for "Algebra of Light" where written, arranged, and recorded in demo form.  Subsequently, Scott assembled a working group of excellent Dallas, Texas based musicians to rehearse and record live drums, bass, keyboards, and vocals in the studio to complete the project base tracks.    Scott is the only permanent member of the project and is seeking a permanent vocalist to collaborate with and complete the project.  Click here if you are interested.  It is possible that a group of musicians will be assembled if interest builds and there is a need for it.
